Known as the narrowest house in Manhattan, and home to poet Edna St Vincent Millay in the early 1920s, when she was at heart of literary bohemian culture in the Village. Also home at later dates to cartoonist and children’s book author William Steig, and to cultural anthropologist Margaret Mead.
