Li-Lac’s makes the best chocolate confections.

I have lived in Greenwich village for 45 years and have been a customer of Li- Lac’s since it’s original store was on Christopher Street. It was the after school snack spot for my children; where I bought chocolate gifts for all occasions: birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, hostess gifts, graduations, school theater productions; to take on the plane when traveling was a regular thing! The business was purchased from the original owners and moved to 12th Street and recently to Greenwich Avenue. Though prices have increased the quality of the chocolate has remained consistently excellent. In the time of this pandemic, the store remains open, but I miss being able to linger in the shop to inhale the chocolate smells and chat with the employees or owners.

I mailed a pound of chocolate to my son who works as an ER doctor in NYC, as a personal thank you. This week I bought a chocolate champagne bottle for my daughter and her hubby for their 5th wedding anniversary. Did I mention that my daughter’s first job out of college was working for Li-Lac’s while she started her career in theater? Thank you for being a consistent treat in our family life and for the community!
